We pollute, destroy, and reshape our planet, eliminating animal habitats and ecosystems to fit human needs. People conscious of the plight of these events react to this decline by experiencing environmental grief®, the grief reaction stemming from the environmental loss of ecosystems caused by natural or man-made events. This is a unique form of disenfranchised grief; grief that is not openly accepted or acknowledged in society.

Dr. Ani Kalayjian invited me to the 60th Annual DPI/NGO Conference, Climate Change: How It Impacts Us All at the United Nations Headquarters in New York where I discussed my research, and facilitated the networking breakfast meeting, Climate Change: Ethics and Accountability.

It is horrifying that we have to fight our own government to save the environment. ~Ansel Adams
